The Building Automation Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with building owners with the goal of increasing controls systems and hardware sales.
The Building Automation Account Manager may also be a subject matter expert in controls to support work or act as Account Manager with contractors and consulting engineer/architect accounts.
BUILDING AUTOMATION ACCOUNT MANAGER
Responsibilities:
o Utilizes account management process to identify key customers and to develop specific action plans to grow identified accounts o Converts leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the appropriate contact within the customer's organization, identifying required sales team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process o Develops relationships with multiple buying influences in the customer's organization, including executive level customers, facility managers, project managers, project engineers, construction and purchasing o Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walk through, construction plan review or other requirements o Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer's HVAC system design and installation requirements o Develops project fulfillment schedule with project team o Selects, prices, and integrates equipment, controls, and services for each project as needed o Prepares, finalizes and reviews preliminary proposal o Prepares and reviews contract terms and conditions using standard LMS contract templates when applicable o Assesses target markets to analyze potential opportunity o Facilitates financing and legal/contract review process o Meets or exceeds gross margin requirements o Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or equivalent from four-year college or university
Experience:
Two years' experience in control systems and 4-10 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
